At Elves for Elders, we’re always learning and adjusting to make the program run more smoothly while keeping the heart of what we do alive. After last year, we realized a few changes needed to be made so that every elder’s gifts could be received without any problems.
The biggest change for 2025 is our new tag system. Instead of using names, each tag will now have a code name that links back to our system and the elder’s location. This protects the dignity of our elders, keeps things organized, and makes sure nothing gets lost in translation. You’ll still see their likes and wish list items, so the personal touch will remain—without the issues we faced last year with tags being written on or mislabeled.
We also want to remind everyone that all gifts should be returned unwrapped and without any wrapping paper. Our volunteer team will handle wrapping and labeling to ensure everything stays consistent and ready for delivery.
Finally, please be mindful of the gift return deadline. Having all gifts back by the announced date is essential—it gives us the time we need to wrap, sort, and deliver everything before Christmas Eve.
