Meet the People Behind Elves for Elders

Hey y’all, I’m Lillie 👋 I’m the face (and heart) behind Elves for Elders. When I’m not planning Christmas magic, I’m usually working at Walmart, hanging out with my two cats, or diving into a good book. Writing has always been a passion of mine, but so has giving back—especially to seniors during the holidays.

I grew up around elders because my mom has been in geriatric care my whole life. Some of my favorite memories are just hanging out in nursing homes, playing games, or giving little manicures. Even now, I still love going to bingo with my Nana once a month—it’s those little moments that keep me connected.

Elves for Elders is my way of bringing that love for seniors into something bigger. Every year I set a goal to reach more people and spread more joy. Last year we were able to serve over 450 elders, which blew me away. This year my goal is 500 gifts and hopefully adding new towns like Conway, North Little Rock, or Sherwood.

It might sound simple, but for me it’s about more than the gifts—it’s about letting elders know they are remembered, cared for, and celebrated. And honestly? It’s also about community. Walmart has helped me make so many connections that made this program possible, and seeing people come together to make Christmas brighter has been the best gift of all.

So if you’re here reading this, thank you. You’re part of the reason Elves for Elders is growing—and I can’t wait to see what we can do together this year.
